【April 19, 2017, Shanghai】 China's pure EV brand Qiantu Motor came to Auto Shanghai again with Qiantu K50 in three-color combinations.
Against the background of a pure glacier, Qiantu debuted the blue-and-black K50 cabriolet on the forestage, whose purity and serenity echo perfectly with EV's unique quietness and agility when on the move. The red-and-black and silver-and-black hard-roof models were placed in the experience zone backstage, where the video of Qiantu K50 having ice-and-snow road test at Bosch Automotive Test and Technology Center Yakeshi China was played. The vehicle ran at full tilt on the icy circuit and roared out of the swirling snow, as lightly and daintily as a dragonfly, fully demonstrating Qiantu K50's sportiness and smoothness as an electric sports car.
Compared with exhibit models in the previous two years, the Qiantu K50 exhibited this time uses wrap-around sport package to be more dynamic. The 15.6-inch central control screen and suspended liquid-crystal instrument panel add much high-tech touch to the interiors and are said to be the final design for mass production. The MMI of the screen is a conceptual edition that reflects the future interface style, while more MMI functions will be applied during mass production.
Qiantu K50 adopts aluminum alloy body frame and carbon-fiber body cover. It is equipped with three core technologies - the independently developed VCU, RESS and overall lightweight using compound materials. Fitted with double-motor 4WD, it boasts the maximal power of 300kw, maximal torque of 600Nm, 0-100km/h acceleration within 4.6 seconds, and a driving range of over 300km.
In the past two years, Qiantu Motor's participation in Shanghai Auto demonstrated to the industry and the public its resolve to enter the pure EV market and its technological advantages arising from committed efforts in this industry. After it obtained the production permit, Qiantu Motor brought us the K50, a new model that has been calibrated and tested by multiple parties to have better handling and more unique driving fun, and renewed commitment and sincerity to future consumers.
It is learnt that after Qiantu Motor obtained the permit for pure EV production last October, it has conducted a large amount of testing and calibration on the to-be-mass-produced Qiantu K50 with a view to improving its handling and safety. Qiantu Motor insists on cooperating with suppliers that can best "bring out the sports-car-style driving fun of Qiantu K50". Hella LED headlamp, Pirelli tyre, Brembo braking system and Mira chassis calibration all contribute something to the Qiantu K50 that will meet with the consumers soon.
As at the inauguration of Auto Shanghai, most workshops at Qiantu Motor's production base in Suzhou had top sealing and some equipment was already installed. The progress is underpinning what Mr. Lu Qun, Chairman of Qiantu Motor, said: as a new automaker infused with engineering culture, Qiantu Motor is committed to creating a pure EV with driving pleasure for more consumers through dedication and hard work.
