(SUZHOU, February 20, 2019,) Qiantu Motor, a leading model for technological innovation in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, today welcomed a delegation of dignitaries led by Wu Zhenglong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Provincial Committee and Governor of Jiangsu province, who was accompanied by Zhou Naixiang, Jiangsu CPC Standing Committee member and Secretary of CPC Municipal Committee of Suzhou city, as well as other provincial and municipal officials. Governor Wu was given a detailed update on Qiantu Motor’s production, operation, technological innovation, product performance and plans for future models.  The governor expressed his recognition and hope for the company’s planned mass production and launch of a host of new models.

Mr. Lu Qun, Chairman of Qiantu Motor, introduced Qiantu Motor’s new products: the Qiantu K50, China’s first all electric city sports car, and K20, the company’s second model that is soon to be mass-produced. Mr. Lu also reported to Governor Wu how the company rapidly grew through its dedication to innovation.

Qiantu Motor has been committed to “making a good vehicle” from day one. It has stayed true to its founding mission and commitment in every step of development: from the launch of its first prototype car and comprehensive measuring and testing, to pilot production, to passing the strict state production qualification and to mass production. Qiantu K50, the company’s first masterpiece, features VCU, a core technology enabling full and automatic control of an electric vehicle, liquid-cooled battery pack system with constant temperature, new materials and lightweight construction. The lightweight technology combing carbon-fiber outer panels and aluminum frame on this model is a first in China.

In fact, Qiantu Motor places a premium on the electric drivetrain and new materials and lightweight technology, the two revolutionary aspects of the industry. As of today, the company has applied for 1,618 patents, including 723 inventions, 11 international patents, 8 of which are inventions. It further owns 11 software copyrights. At the same time, it has made breakthroughs in manufacturing technique for NEVs, having independently completed China’s first mass production line for carbon-fiber auto parts and another first for all-aluminum body.

The delegation and the management team shared views on hot industry topics such as battery safety, the important role of the government promoting building charging stations, Governor Wu expressed his hope for Qiantu Motor: Given that China has rich coal resources but lacks oil and gas deposits, new energy vehicle has a bright future. Qiantu Motor should accurately grasp the changing trends and consumer demand in the global automotive industry, focus on technology innovation and strive to become the first mover amid fierce competition. Now that the launch of Qiantu K50 was well received by the industry, Qiantu Motor should continue to uphold a corporate spirit of “Evolution in Motion”, remain a strong leader in the NEV sector, help elevate the integrated strategic development of the YRD to the next level, and contribute further to the transformation of China’s auto industry.
